Equus Dasypus.
roadkill in the flats
10,000 bands of armor
the shields we build won’t stop trains
Driving to Grandma’s house at night on a two lane road in the dark there was no doubt an armadillo would show its flatness. All that armor and nothing but dead. I wonder a lot about the armor we build through our experiences. How it protects us and how it cannot. I have learned that the foundation of things is where I can come back to when all things have been flattened.
