I am a process artist. I yearn to be there, in it and learning from each moment. I teach through process too because I believe that is where the best learning happens. Through the process of creating this body of work, sinking into building with ceramic clay bodies, learning about high fire soda and raku, and continuing my classroom practices with my students alongside, I have evolved. I began this journey with an intuition that this might be what my teaching needed as well as myself and have been validated and surprised at how significantly this work has influenced and strengthened my practice in my classroom and in my personal work.
